Northern California Dominates List of America’s Most Romantic Glamping Stays – Glamping Passion

Northern California is officially winning Valentine’s Day.

Ahead of the holiday weekend, Hipcamp analyzed nearly 500,000 reviews from the past two years to identify the most romantic camping and glamping stays in the U.S.—and NorCal dominated the results. Six of the top 20 most romantic listings nationwide are located in Northern California, with several cracking the Top 10.

Using a “Relative Romance Rating” that weighs romance-related language like anniversary, honeymoon, cozy, private, hot tub, and stargazing, Hipcamp found that comfort-forward outdoor stays rose to the top. Think yurts, forest cabins, and glamping tents designed for quiet nights and slow mornings.

Leading the NorCal charge is Private Yurts in Nevada City, which ranked No. 2 nationally, followed closely by Wackalulu’s Wonderland in Monte Rio at No. 3. Other high-ranking Northern California spots include Ariana Acres near Willits, Voyagers Landing in Nevada City, Foxfern Forest in Mendocino, and Rollins Lake Retreats near Colfax.
